River North is the original hot spot of Chicago. Walking distances from the office buildings in the loop, River North sits, you guessed it, just north of the Chicago river. It houses 90% of the city’s clubs, and many bars and restaurants. This is a common place to go for a work dinner or happy hour, or if you’re visiting from out of town. Many Chicago residents grow tired of it’s nightlife after a few years of living here, and opt for neighborhoods further from downtown that have a little more unique character, are a little less expensive, and are more off the beaten path.
